I just adore furniture designed by Naoto Fukasawa. This is the Hiroshima series created for Maruni Wood Industries. The wood looks perfect!

Latva

Latva is a coat rack designed by Finnish Mikko Laakkonen. You can either leave your belongings on its branches or use it as a space divider; when left empty it looks like a sculpture. Latva is available in black, white and green.

String system

I've been admiring the String shelf for a while now... The shelf was designed by Nils Strinning in 1949 for the Bonnier bookshelf competition. Bonnier wanted a shelf that would be cheap, simple to transport and easy to assemble and hang. Strinning had been thinking of just such a shelf, and the competition became a reason to put thought into action. Naturally the String shelf won first price. It became quickly popular all over Europe, and can nowadays be considered a real Scandinavian design classic.

FAVN by Jaime Hayón for Fritz Hansen

Jaime Hayón has created a new sofa for Fritz Hansen, called FAVN.  The name means 'embrace' in Danish. "I wanted the sofa to be based on a shell. A shell being hard on the outside, soft and welcoming on the inside", Hayón says. "I wanted to create a form that embraces you, something really organic - that's why we named it FAVN."

FAVN will be launched at Republic of Fritz Hansen's showroom in Milan during Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2011. The sofa will be available for purchase in September 2011.

Wishlist - Clothes rack

I would love a clothes rack, but I can't fit one anywhere in our current home, so I will have to wait for us to move in to our new place. This one, Turbo from Ikea, is great - black and simple!

Rest Sofa from Muuto

This beauty is the new Rest Sofa designed by Andersen & Voll for Muuto. The designers describe the sofa like this: "Rest is a sofa series with an inviting and warm appearance. The contrast between the defined back and bottom frame and the soft cushioning tells a story of the comfort that awaits you. Sit back and relax!" I like the sofa, and adore the styling in this photo!

I have not grown tired of these chairs, although they can be seen everywhere at the moment - the Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. For our new home we will get these in black, they will fit perfectly!

Favorite lamps

A few of my favorite lamps. The PH 5 would be perfect hanging above the dining table in our new home, so it's on the shopping list. Knowing how obsessed I am with the Jieldé, I think it will make it to the list as well. I would like to get my hands on a vintage Jieldé, though...

Nice desks

A couple of nice desks I've stumbled upon while surfing the internet. I'm especially a big fan of the first one by House Doctor...

Essay table

I just love this table designed by Cecilie Mantz for Fritz Hansen. It's so simple, yet stylish. I'm also a huge fan of lofts, concrete, big windows and high ceilings. I could live in that space...
