The home of Jacob Holm

Here lives Jacob Holm, head of Fritz Hansen and his wife Barbara Bendix Becker. I can't stop admiring the flooring, the Poul Kjærholm pieces and the decoration!

The PK22 lounge chair was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1956. It won he Grand Prix award at the 1957 XI Triennale di Milano.

This spring Fritz Hansen has introduced the PK22 in the original cotton canvas, and a selection of the original colours; primary red, umber green and black. The PK71 nesting table was also introduced in matching colours.

FAVN by Jaime Hayón for Fritz Hansen

Jaime Hayón has created a new sofa for Fritz Hansen, called FAVN.  The name means 'embrace' in Danish. "I wanted the sofa to be based on a shell. A shell being hard on the outside, soft and welcoming on the inside", Hayón says. "I wanted to create a form that embraces you, something really organic - that's why we named it FAVN."

FAVN will be launched at Republic of Fritz Hansen's showroom in Milan during Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2011. The sofa will be available for purchase in September 2011.

Essay table

I just love this table designed by Cecilie Mantz for Fritz Hansen. It's so simple, yet stylish. I'm also a huge fan of lofts, concrete, big windows and high ceilings. I could live in that space...
